I'll stamp all over 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
