England's Head Coach Thomas Tuchel asserted that he has "no conflict" with Jude Bellingham following the trio were left out the England squad for forthcoming matches against Latvia and Wales.

The midfielder did not earn a recall even after returning from a shoulder issue, whereas Foden and Grealish are also absent despite displaying improved form with their clubs.

Tuchel mentioned that the 22-year-old desired to be part of the selection, having spoken with him on the phone.

"Bellingham is a unique talent, and for special players there can often be exceptions," Tuchel said regarding Bellingham, who has only started once since returning to full health.

"However we decided to maintain the simple decision of calling up the same group.

"Jude consistently merits to be here. There is also the situation that he has not quite regained his full rhythm yet at Real Madrid - he has not completed a full game.

"He expressed a desire to be selected. We had a telephone conversation."

The England boss was keen to emphasize his positive relationship with the midfielder after Tuchel apologized to him previously for calling his conduct during a match as "disgusting" in a live interview.

The German stated that he used the words "without meaning to" and promised to be more careful in future.

When asked if he had a problem with the player, he said: "None. There is also no problem with Phil Foden or Jack Grealish.

"Phil is returning to influencing and deciding games for his club. Grealish is almost to returning to the best version of himself.

"There exists no personal problem."

Bukayo Saka taking the place of the hurt Noni Madueke is the only change to the previous squad, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Quansah keeping their spots after being last-minute call-ups last month due to fitness concerns.

The Three Lions play the Welsh team in a non-competitive match at Wembley Stadium on Thursday before a World Cup qualifier in the Latvian capital on October 14.
